Lawrence Golden has more than 45 years of legal experience in Utica and the Mohawk Valley. His practice now located at 23 Oxford Rd New Hartford, NY 13413 focuses primarily on personal injury and other negligence litigation, products liability, real estate closings, wills and estate proceedings, and local court traffic matters.


Larry practiced in Herkimer from 1970-1975 with Basloe, Basloe, Gallagher and Golden. He moved his office to Utica in 1975, practicing with Bernardi, Zogby and Golden (1975-78), Zogby and Golden (1978-1988), Lockwood and Golden (1988-2009), and The Golden Law Firm (2009-Present).


Larry is a 1965 graduate of Cornell University, and received his Juris Doctor law degree from the Buffalo Law School (SUNY) in 1969.

A Leader in the Legal and General Community


Active and well respected in the legal community, Larry was appointed by the Appellate Division to the 5th Judicial District Grievance Committee in 2009 and currently serves as Chairman of that 6-county Committee.  He was President of the Oneida County Bar Association in 2008. He is a currently member of the New York State Bar Association, The American Bar Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Oneida County and Herkimer Bar Associations.


His volunteer work with the Innocence Project earned him a position on the New York State Bar Association Task Force on Wrongful Convictions in 2009. While he does not handle criminal cases, he frequently does presentations throughout Central New York to create public awareness about the causes of wrongful convictions, and the flaws in the criminal justice system that allow wrongful convictions to occur.

He also currently serves as Treasurer of the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York, which provides free legal services to Central New York citizens who cannot afford legal representation.


Larry also has served as President of the Rotary Club of Utica, Family Services of the Mohawk Valley, and the Utica Chapter of the American Red Cross.
